What we do

The Sound of the Streets revels in street bands and celebratory sounds. We bring streets to life with vibrant music and create free events for people to gather, dance, sing, make music and a joyful noise. Street Bands are one of the musical wonders of the world and are an excellent way to inspire people to make music and experience a wide diversity of musical traditions.

The Sound of the Streets create festivals and concerts, education projects, CPD days and workshops, starts bands and supports young people to play wind, brass and percussion. We also create parades, processions and celebratory events and offer resources, podcasts and films exploring the history and traditions of outdoor music and celebratory sound.
