We’re always inspired by the people who step up to support The Sound of the Streets, and a recent community event truly reminded us what music and community can do together.

🎶 Music, Community, and a Cause
This month, the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre community choir brought people together for a wonderful morning of live music and fundraising in support of The Sound of the Streets.

The event was brought to life by the dedication and talent of several local champions:
Veronica Broadley, who organised the event
Marcus Osborne, Tim Champ, and Mel Reeves, who filled the air with beautiful live music
– And Julie Meikle, whose help and support on the day were instrumental in making the event such a success

With sunshine overhead and music all around, the team raised an amazing £250—a brilliant contribution that will go directly toward our mission of bringing free live music and creative workshops to communities.

🎵 Why It Matters
Events like this are more than just fundraisers—they’re a celebration of what music can do. While grant funding helps us run key programmes, grassroots events like this are what keep our work accessible, vibrant, and deeply rooted in the communities we serve.

💡 Thinking of Fundraising Yourself?
You don’t need a stage or a big plan to make a difference. Whether it’s music, walking, crafting, or cooking—using what you love to support something meaningful can go a long way.
