This weekend, North Curry will once again host its much-loved Music Festival, bringing a wonderful variety of live music to the village. One of the highlights we’re really looking forward to is the Sound of the Streets Big Band.

The band is a lovely mix of professional and amateur musicians, including some young local players. Together, they create a lively and joyful sound with their brass, reeds, drums, and percussion instruments. Their performance in Queen Square Garden on Saturday morning promises to be a cheerful start to the day — a chance for everyone to enjoy some upbeat, feel-good music in a friendly, welcoming setting.

There will be lots of other music to enjoy throughout the weekend too — from the ukulele orchestra, tango dancers, and local groups to a steel band playing Caribbean tunes on Sunday afternoon. There’s something for all tastes, and most events are free or very reasonably priced.

If you’d like to know more about the festival or see the full program, you can visit the North Curry Music Festival website.

Hope to see you there!
